SYNERGY 7 For Cancer Prevention

Essential oils have long been used by various cultures as a natural remedy for virtually every disease, including cancer. Up until now, they have been seen by most people as only useful for their pleasant smell, but that is now changing.

It is commonly known that chemotherapy is the go-to treatment for cancer. Most people are truly surprised to discover that essential oils can be very useful when it comes to preventing and fighting different types of cancers. This type of therapy has become popular because it is effective and has no harmful side effects. For anyone considering essential oil as a support for cancer therapy, it is important to understand how essential oils work and how they can be used.

Together with other modalities i.e. Ozone Therapy and Rife frequencies, highly charged essential oils i.e. SYNERGY 7 can offer an intelligent and inspiring strategy for cancer prevention.

Synergy 7

SYNERGY 7 is a special blend of  high quality, pure essential oils of Frankincense (Boswellia carterii), Myrrh, Thyme, Rosemary, Spanish Marjoram and extract from Calendula and base oil from Apricot Kernels. Did you know that all these oils have been proven to fight or prevent cancer (to see references, please scroll down the page) .

Now you can have a rare opportunity to harvest the combined power of all these essential oils in one bottle! High quality of pure essential oils and their unique blending makes SYNERGY 7 a truly unique product, delivered to you at minimal price.

Application

Essential oils are used in a variety of ways; they can be applied topically, ingested or inhaled. The most common and easiest method of administering essential oils is through inhalation, a process used in popular aromatherapy techniques.

SYNERGY 7 can be used by applying directly onto the skin of affected area or on i.e. feet, hands, wrist, lymph nodes, along the spine, occipital area on the back of the head – base of the skull about two or three times daily. Other internal applications are in the upper palate of your mouth or under the tongue. You can also take it internally in the water; dissolve 3 drops of oils in 8 ounces of water and drink the water thrice daily. Precaution: avoid contact with eyes.

If you apply essential oils directly to the skin (topically) then the oil gets absorbed by your skin and enters the bloodstream. It is suggested that you warm the skin or massage it during application in order to increase the absorbency. If you choose the inhalation method, then essential oil droplets enter your airway and are then absorbed by your lungs. In order to diffuse the oil, you can use a scent pot, oil diffuser, humidifier or even a pot of boiling water.

Frankincense essential oil

Frankincense essential oil is made from resin or sap that is obtained from the Boswellia tree family. There are many different types of Boswellia trees in Asia and the Middle East, each of which produces a slightly different resin. Frankincense has been used since antiquity as a medicine and in religious rituals.  Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) is known as “olibanum” in historical books, such as the bible, also called “true incense.”

This oil was often used for anointing and healing in biblical times. Known as one of the gifts presented by three Kings/magi to the Christ child. In ancient times, Frankincense was considered more precious than gold and only the wealthy possessed Frankincense. Frankincense is also mentioned in the ancient Egyptian text, Ebers Papyrus, a 16th century B.C. medical record.

The main active ingredient in the essential oil, boswellic acid, has strong anti-inflammatory activity.

Frankincense  And Cancer

Ref of research: Frankincense oil derived from Boswellia carteri induces tumor cell specific cytotoxicity.

The properties were little understood until modern research was conducted. A study published in Journal of Carcinogenesis in 2012 found that frankincense has the ability to fight colorectal cancer. Frankincense oil has a specific compound called “acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid” which can target cells in late-stage ovarian cancer and destroy them without any side effects to the rest of the body.

A study published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2009, for example, found that the herbal form of frankincense triggered death in bladder cancer cells by activating several different cellular pathways. Another study, conducted by researchers from Nihon University in Tokyo and published in Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, showed that several chemical components of frankincense were able to kill three separate human neuroblastoma cells. The same study also found that frankincense inhibited the growth of Epstein-Barr virus.

Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that forms in nerve cells and primarily affects young children. Other studies have shown that frankincense and its components can kill cancers of the brain, breast, colon, pancreas, prostate and stomach.

Frankincense may also help mitigate the often-debilitating side effects of cancer treatment. One study, published in the journal Cancer in 2011, was performed on brain cancer patients experiencing cerebral edema (swelling) as a side effect of radiation therapy. The researchers found that 60 percent of participants given frankincense experienced a 75 percent reduction in cerebral swelling, a potent enough result for the authors to recommend frankincense as a potential alternative to steroids, the current favored treatment. Side effects of steroids can include headaches, blurred vision and migraines.

According to research done by University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Associate Professor H.K. Lin, Ph.D., various species of frankincense (Boswellia) essential oil is unparalleled as a cancer solution.

  • Boswellia carteri induces bladder tumor cells, meaning that it targets cancerous cells by killing them and leaves the healthy cells alone. (2)
  • Boswellia sacramay be effective for advanced breast cancers as well as for cancer prevention. (3)
  • Boswellia sacrais a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment option for skin cancers like basal cell carcinoma. (4)
  • Boswellia carteri and Santalum album (sandalwood) both kill cancer, but do so in different ways, which suggests that the two taken together has a unique one-two punch strategy that is more effective than taken alone. (5)

The bottom line is this:

It has been demonstrated that frankincense essential oils prepared by hydrodistillation of gum resins from Boswellia species contain complex chemical constituents and possess anti-cancer activity. Frankincense essential oil activates arrays of genes and pathways that suppress the growth and induce the apoptosis of established human cancer cell lines of different tissue origins. Besides boswellic acids, frankincense essential oil-induced anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic activities in tumour cells may result from high-molecular-weight compound(s).

Chinese and Ayurvedic medical models use frankincense as a major ingredient in treating many health conditions, including cancer. Western studies are now backing up this traditional use, showing that frankincense essential oil and extracts have potent anti-tumor activity. When frankincense was tested against human pancreatic cancer cells, the essential oil was able to cause substantial levels of cancer cell death by inhibiting signalling molecules and cell cycle regulators. The same effect was found in another study on bladder cancer cells.

This study also tested the effect of the frankincense on normal bladder cells, and found that the essential oil was able to distinguish cancerous from normal cells. There were, again, multiple cell mechanism pathways activated by frankincense against the cancer cells. Overall the studies have indicated that no serious side effects have been recorded with continuous therapeutic use of frankincense essential oil.

Besides directly killing cancer cells, essential oils can also assist with side effects of traditional cancer treatment. For example, many brain cancer patients experience cerebral edema (swelling) after having radiation therapy. This is usually treated with steroid medications, which can cause further side effects. A 2011 study found that frankincense essential oil can offer a much safer alternative to this medication. In the study, 60 percent of patients had an improvement rate of at least 75 percent in their level of brain swelling.

Myrrh essential oil

Myrrh is another gift, which was presented to baby Jesus. Nowadays, the role that myrrh essential oil in natural cancer therapies is a becoming a popular topic in the scientific community.

A research from China in 2011 found that myrrh was able to reduce the proliferation or replication of human cancer cells. Scientists found that myrrh inhibited growth in eight different types of cancer cells, specifically gynecological cancers. Further research may be needed to determine exactly how to use myrrh for cancer treatment, but it is undeniable that this initial research is indeed very promising.

Also there is growing interest in synergistic effects of various essential oils i.e. how myrrh interacts with frankincense oils. In 2013, one of the most thorough studies on the topic was published in the journal Oncology Letters, and this is what researcher discovered:

“The effects of the two essential oils, independently and as a mixture, on five tumor cell lines, MCF-7, HS-1, HepG2, HeLa and A549, were investigated using the MTT assay. The results indicated that the MCF-7 and HS-1 cell lines showed increased sensitivity to the myrrh and frankincense essential oils compared with the remaining cell lines. In addition, the anticancer effects of myrrh were markedly increased compared with those of frankincense, however, no significant synergistic effects were identified.”

Ref: Composition and potential anticancer activities of essential oils obtained from myrrh and frankincense Oncol Lett. 2013 Oct; 6(4): 1140–1146.

“The resins from myrrh trees have been traditionally prescribed simultaneously in Chinese medicine for years. Used primarily to treat inflammatory diseases, blood stagnation, frankincense and myrrh therapy is exceptionally effective to relieve swelling and pain.  Even though researchers have not observed a synergistic effect regarding cancer, “

A previous study identified that the combination of frankincense and myrrh oils exhibited synergistic effects on harmful bacterial infections Cryptococcus neoformans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.”

Thyme essential oil

Thyme is an evergreen herb used for both cooking and medicine. The ancient Egyptians used it for embalming, and Greeks used it in baths and for incense. During the Medieval times in Europe, people kept thyme under their pillows to ward off nightmares.

All of these traditional uses echo a wisdom that is now being verified by modern science. Recent scientific analysis is uncovering the amazing health-promoting abilities of thyme and its essential oil.

A 2010 study done in Switzerland evaluated a number of essential oils against MCF-7 breast cancer cells, A-549 lung cancer cells, and PC-3 prostate cancer cells. It was found that thyme essential oil exhibited the strongest cytotoxicity toward all three types of human cancer cells. This is likely due to the active compound thymol, which has been shown to activate a number of cancer-killing mechanisms.

One Chinese study also have found that essential oil of thyme was very effective, which led to a 97% kill rate of the MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Though it is important to remember that this research was performed in vitro – meaning that the cells were studied outside their normal biological context – like in a petri dish.

Rosemary essential oil

Rosemary is an aromatic evergreen shrub used for flavoring in cooking, pest control in gardening, and fragrance in toiletry products. It contains a number of potent phytochemicals or therapeutic plant compounds.

Rosemary has been shown to have antioxidant properties, helping to protect against free radicals which damage cell membranes, tamper with DNA, and even cause the death of healthy cells. A number of recent studies have shown that rosemary extract has powerful anti-tumor properties in several areas of the body including the colon, breast, liver, stomach, skin and blood. One study found that rosemary essential oil at a concentration of 1 percent was able to deactivate more than 90 percent of ovarian and liver cancer cells.

Marjoram essential oil

The chemopreventive potential that marjoram displays fits nicely with our understanding of other protective culinary herbs.

It makes you think – God must have made all of these herbs to taste and smell so good that we would use them to guard our bodies against harsh meals!

Marjoram joins a long line of essential oils stepping forward in the literature with promising anti-cancer results. (*) As with all cases of cancer prevention, we must realize that the research is still in development and that we can’t know what hard and fast rule there is to making sure we don’t get cancer.

Calendula Extract

Colon Cancer

Research confirms that extract from calendula has positive effects on suppression of colon cancer. Scientists from the Department of Pathobiology in Iran have conducted the study in 2010, in which they found that Calendula officinalis extract has an inhibitory potential on the expression of nuclear β-catenin protein in dysplastic colonic aberrant cryptal cells in experimental colorectal carcinoma

Calendula Effective Against Radiation Induced Dermatitis in Breast Cancer

According to a recent article published in The Journal of Clinical Oncology, calendula (Calendula Officinalis) appears more effective than trolamine (Biafine®) at reducing or preventing the incidence of dermatitis caused by radiation in the treatment of breast cancer.
